Disk Space and Speed Questions

Hello,

I am looking at possibly purchasing a shared hosting plan from hostgator. I currently run a lightweight Wordpress-powered blog / fansite for legal music from a particular band. Essentially, each post contains a description of a particular show and links to download those files. They are typically .flac or .shn lossless audio files. My server impact from a CPU/memory utilization is very low as I use a basic Wordpress blog with WP-Super Cache. I have two concerns:

1.) Disk space -- I will use somewhere around 100GB of disk space. I know according to the TOS that isn't technically a problem and I don't think I'd run into the inode limit either (as I won't be hosting email or anything like that and the individual files are relatively large). Would that amount of disl space be a problem? Yes, I realize it is high. Believe me, I do.

2.) Download speed -- I'm not talking about allowable bandwidth/transfer per month, but the actual speed of downloads. For example, from iPower, I can download my files at around 500-600KBps but from 1&1 it is only around 125-140kbps. Does anyone have a file or files hosted on a shared plan at hostgator that I could test download a file? I'm certainly not asking anyone to upload anything for me, but if someone had a 20 MB or so file that I could test download already up somewhere, that'd be awesome. I desperately want to see what the download speeds are.
