Question Directory location for facicon.ico image?

Hi, did not see any help/questions forums for customers so I figured maybe this is the right place to post.

I was just wondering which directory should I put my favicon.ico file.

I have put it in /public_html folder as well as the root / folder but I do not see a icon on my browsers. I do see it if you type mydomain.com/favicon.ico, but it does not show with the regular html pages.

Is there any specific directory I should put it for hostgator? I rather not use the html code since I have to edit every single one of my pages.

Nope, you did it right by placing it in the main /public_html folder.

Sometimes you have to delete your cookies, clear your cache, reboot, stand one foot while drinking a glass of whole milk (can't be skim) and then go back to your site to see if the favicon shows up.

What's your domain? I'll see if it shows up for me.

Would you like us to check to see if it shows up on our end? Just post the link...

to Hostgator!

Very nice. Very clean.

Just a little bit of advice... Get something up on the portfolio section right away, or take the section down. It doesn't look good that your portfolio is blank.

Even if it's not a real business, put up a fake website just to show some work.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, really glad people liked my design! And thank you for your advice Chimpie, I added one of my site designs for now. Bye the way, sorry I know this is the wrong forum for feedback but just wanted to say to all the potential Host Gator customers, I'm loving them so far, fast speed, easy to manage, and a really helpful community here it seems like.
