Default Direct access to phpMyAdmin

Hi everyone,

As far as I know, one has to sign into the cpanel to get in the phpMyAdmin. Is there a direct access to phpMyAdmin without cpanel, for example at http://xyz.com:abcd?

You can install phpadmin in your home directory and access it I believe. I have never done this but have seen reference to be able to do it.

You should be able to access it via your browser using the following:
Code:
http://www.yourdomain.com:2082/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php
Yourdomain.com being your actual domain name.

You will be prompted for your control panel user name and password but once entered it should take you straight to phpMyAdmin

Many thanks for your relies!

I can get access to phpMyAdmin using:

http://www.yourdomain.com:2082/3rdpa...dmin/index.php

But I can only use the cpanel user name and password to login.

Is it not possible to login directly as other database account like xyz_abc?

phpMyAdmin is useless externally, but there are plenty of external mySQL tools, such as mysqlcc that do the same thing as phpMyAdmin.

Thanks! mysqlcc is a offline tool. Is there a good web-based alternative for mySQL administration, of cause except phpMyAdmin?

Why would you need a web based tool? Just use phpMyAdmin. It works fine.
