Default Difference is resources between Baby vs Business plan?

Hello everyone,

I was planning on purchasing a hosting plan for my multiple wordpress sites. None of them are e-commerce based nor need SSL per say. However, I am a bit scared of the resource limits on the site themselves. With one bad plugin I could go over the 25% cpu limit, have my account suspended, etc. Or perhaps I might be on the edge on resource usage.

What I wanted to know is whether there is a difference in the max amount of resources available between the baby and the business shared hosting plans. Would a business account have more RAM/php memory/ CPU cycles before being suspended?

For a definitive answer you could send an email to sales but I do not believe that there are any differences in the resource limits on the plans since both are shared hosting accounts.

Thank you for the answer GvilleRick.

Since there seems to be no reason for me to go to the business plan, I'll spring for the baby plan only for now.

Thanks again!

I wouldn't recommend to go to baby plan. I tell you, Wordpress Sites are heavy things... especially if you plugin some plugins into them. I am having custom made plugins and also use SEO plugins for auto blogging. Boy, do they eat a lot of resources or what ... especially PHP with MYSQL .... so be aware, but you can always upgrade to a higher plan or even better get Virtual Private/Dedicated Server or Full Time Dedicated Server.

VPS is my choice, not too cheap, not too expensive, gives freedom and stability - just about right.

You get the same resources with the Hatchling, Baby, and Business plans. They're all shared server plans, and all have the same restrictions on things like CPU usage. The only differences involve things like addon domains, dedicated IP's, SSL's, and so on.

If you run into resource utilization problems with the Baby plan, upgrading to Business isn't going to fix them. Only a VPS or dedicated server can cure it.
