Default Dif Between Shared and Reseller

I am currently in the alum reseller package. What is the difference between to shared hosting and the Reseller hosting? What I am wondering is if I was to change to the Baby Shared Hosting can I have my 4 sites in it? It says unlimited domains, so does that mean I can have any amount of domains I want under my baby shared plan? I hope that makes sense.

Hi
I'm new here, and just took a standard account (non-reseller), and yes, it seems we can add as many addons domains as we need.

i know well (from previous host) WHM and Cpanel, and the main difference is that with reseller you can create accounts for your customers and they will all have their own Cpanel.

for non-reseller accounts here, the TOS mention we cannot resell, which is obvious and expected!

another thing is the enormous diskspace and bandwitdh differences on HG packages... (between standard and reseller) which is quite strange!

I also have a question for the HG staff about that rule.... am I allowed to host friends and family sites on the Baby account or only allowed to have domains registered in my name? Of course, I do not bill family/friends so it's not reselling, and for clients I will order a reseller account when I will have spent some time on the baby account with friends & family sites, and if the diskspace and bandwidth increase on reseller accounts. For now, I leave them at the previous host.

thx in avance for your answers
Patricia

Just want to add that the non-reseller plan only give you one cPanel account for all your domain and no WHM Interface. So 'if' you intend to resell space/add/or add domain for you family, well you will all have to share the same cPanel account with you.

Also for the reseller account, you have free stuff like the billing software, enom account for domain name and etc...

For the bandwidth/space question, they have just updated their shared plan. I don't now if they will upgrade the reseller also at this time. Maybe someone could clear this out if they know something about it!

Hello Chaloupe and thx for your answer!

yeah, of course it's only 1 Cpanel on shared plan, but for my friends and family, all is managed by me anyway, they just need to have small site like my brother is musician and just need some info and contact, but is not able to manage an account or doesn't know anything about html... friends are some music bands as well with no time to be on the net, and my own sites, I plan to open 3 or 4 projects like a photo gallery, a private site, a local community portal, etc.
I just hope it's ok (in HG terms) that I manage all thoses sites under one baby-package.

I will certainly take a reseller account if they upgrade their webpsace/bandwidth (someone any info on that?), and if I'm happy with support, connectivity, etc in the meantime.

thx again

I'd be very interested to find out more information on this as well. I just signed up for the shared plan, and while I'm not charging anyone, I am hosting a few sites for friends/family (nothing commercial, just personal photo stuff, etc).

If the reseller specs were closer to the shared accounts I wouldn't have even hesitated, but those are some pretty big differences.
