At some stage in the last 36 hours at least 8 of my databases have been nuked. Well Im not sure what the right term would be - the databases are still there - but there is now no records, no fields, no tables, no users - there is absolutely NO CONTENT left in these databases.
I contacted support 8.5 hours ago and have had one response - "what link is not working?" What link is not working? The link that isnt working is the link between hostgator and this particular customer. Its one thing to have an incident on your network - ugly stuff happens sometimes. Whats is crap is when no-one will talk to you, no-one will acknowlege a problem, no-one can give you an indication of what is going on. What good is 24/7 support if I have to wait 24 hours to get any? Am I going overboard? |

Fixed.
Support have restored my databases and so far they appear to all be up to date. Big relief on my side. I am dissapointed with the limited feedback/updates/timing on the restore - but they did get everything up and running. Message to Hostgator: Please tell me where you are up to or what time you will have someone look at the issue and I will be satisfied. Thanks Damian |

An ETA on the fix would be a great help. An ETA on someone getting back to you would be a great help.
Throwing a message into a black hole, and having no idea of when it will return is not good! |
