I've been requested new addon to add to my company and one was edit.com

They are always directing me to this page for example:

http://hostgator.edit.com/

Does anyone has seen hostgator offering this link in welcome email for shared hosting or any other way?

Whoah! What's this? Is this an official partner of GatorHost?

Seems GatorHost can do all those services themselves, why a third party support?

It's a 3rd party that will edit websites for customers. They use the HG branding so more people buy, and cut HG a commission most likely.

Yep, that it is

I had not noticed that before.

The 3rd party is actually a setup within the new WHM/cpanel 11 where you will probably be seeing a lot of them integrated in hosting cpanels.
