First let me say that your hosting services sound like a dream come true... and that's precisely what I am afraid of. It's sort of a "been there, done that" thing, ya know?
Please understand that after several years of hosting nightmares and many dollars down the drain, I have to admit to being rather cautious.
With that said, I do have a few questions.

Bandwidth: I am pretty sure that your 50 g bandwidth package will do for me, but what if I go over one month? Will you shut the site down until I upgrade to the larger package, or will you just take out the bandwidth overage charge from my credit card? I fully intend to upgrade to the largest package eventually, but just can't do so at this point in time.

Hate to ask, but can I depend on you? I know that many hosts offer alot of bandwidth knowing that most sites use a small percentage of it, so they load a server with too many sites. My site WILL utilize the bandwidth and I need to be assured that this will not affect my site, nor will I be "accidently" shut down and be forced to move on and go through this yet again.

Do you back-up your servers regularly? If your server crashes (my current hosting nightmare) will you be able to retrieve my data? I've learned the hard way to back-up my site myself periodically, but it's not something I can do on a regular basis, my site is too big.

How long have you been in business?

I am very, very close to purchasing your hosting services, although it means losing alot of money to my current host as I'm paid up 'til Oct. So yea, I'm scared, lol.
So if I do.... one more question so I can begin the tedious process of reconfiguring and uploading my scripts....

I have scripts needing the directories chmod at 777. Does your server accept this, or will 755 work? Many hosts I've used for myself and my clients have it set to 755.

Thank you for your time. If you are my dream come true I'll stay with you for a long long time, and send you many new customers.

Nobody is able to go over...
Once you hit 50 gigs your site automatically shuts down. You are notified when you are close to going over at that point you can contact us get your plan raised, or just wait for the month to end and for it to reset.

When you have a site as big as yours never just signup for hosting. It all depends on what type of bandwidth it is. We have some sites that use 150+ gigs of bandwidth a month and it's no problem at all. Then again a site using 50 gigs bandwidth could be crashing or slowing the server. It all depends on what kind of bandwidth it is. Download bandwidth is fine if its all page views, forum traffic, or mysql usage there’s a big problem and most hosts will kick you off their servers. Have a talk with us or any host explaining your situation before joining up. We never overload our servers but one site of a huge size can slow things down. Please contact us telling us more about your site

Thanks for getting back to me on this.
Okay, my site may use the bandwidth in the latter way you describe.
It uses several scripts. I have classifieds, personals, link directory, forum, banner advertising (the only thing I use mySQL for), guestbook, and a few other small things such as an online cookbook, mailing list and contest/poll scripts.

I'll post my URL in my profile for a little while so you can have a look. Keep in mind that much of the site isn't working due to my current hosting problems. I've tried contacting them for two weeks but I guess they're busy :?

Thanks for your time.

Does this mean if I get 1.2 million hits a month, and most of them are to my forum, I will go down? Or will it rack up my BW?

Im not sure where the period in your sentance goes.
