Lightbulb Delay for the autoresponder?

I like HG's autoresponder feature for email accounts, but it would be nice to have an option to set a delay for the responder to wait before sending out messages, and to have an option to check mail every X amount of minutes before it responds. Is it possible to have this implemented and soon?

The autoresponder is a part of cPanel and they would have control over this. They have a forum at forums.cpanel.net.

as GvilleRick said, the Autoresponder is built in with cPanel.

You could make your own autoresponder with an E-Mail pipe, and a PHP or Perl script. The things you could do with your own Autoresponder is basically endless

Would this be difficult? I don't have any experience creating scripts. Could you provide some more details and help on how I could set this up? I would really appreciate it.
