About Dedicated Servers

I previously had a reseller account here, and left only because I wanted full root acccess to control things directly. So I went to a VPS environment with another provider.

Now I'm considering moving back to HostGator on a dedicated server, but I need a few more specific details before I can make my decision.

1) You mention root access, does this include SSH access? I'm able to manage my own /etc/hosts.deny file, but I absolutely require SSH access, and I do not mean by way of a Cpanel applet.

2) What is the uplink speed of the Ethernet connection to the backbone? This question expects an answer of 10Mbps or 100Mbps. Gigabit would be nice, but I hardly exoect it at the prices you are offering. Besides, most servers could never use a third of a Gigabit connection anyway.
