Dedicated servers SOLD OUT

All the dedicated servers are sold out. When is hostgator going to get some more?

As stated many times in the past, your best bet to find out when they will get some more is to talk to sales on live chat.

The "More Info" in "Server Advice" has not been updated. Make sure to update them since a lot have changed.

I am not sure about those plans.. I am talking about the Elite server. Before the update, they had a Dual Xeon 2.8 and at $219 per month. Now the Elite is a smaller server with a Dual Xeon 2.4 with a $60 extra price tags ($279/month). Am I missing something in the configuration here?

The new Pro server has half the space and half the ram of the old Pro setup but is the same price as the huge Conroe 3060 and no RAID configuration.

I am not sure at all about those specs vs prices now. I will need to make some research to see if it is worth it again.

If you are able to convince me go ahead!

Actually it is the exact same ad for the elite that was the standard. Although the 2.8 was being delivered with 2.8, or at least mine was, I assumed it was the old servers that were being replaced as the upgrades for shared went on.

They're still there. You just have to start with order now at the top of the page and follow dedicated to unmanaged

The pro & elite are useless with only 2 meg ddr ram. Used to be 4 meg, now we went backwards?

I thought the pro was the only one that came with 4 megs ram or 500GB hard drives. Either way, looks like a downgrade this go around!

I'm really disappointed in the downgrades! I had initially planned to purchase an Elite (it was 4GB ram) but went in a couple days ago and the only one left was the Standard (it was 2GB ram). I went to lunch and came back to buy the Standard after lunch and they were all sold out - argh! So, I contacted sales and they said they'd have more within the week.

Now they're all in stock but they've all been downgraded?!? Yet they're still the same cost per month. This is really disappointing. The "more info" comparison pop-ups have not been changed, so you can see how they used to be.

I'm not sure now whether or not to purchase one since we're getting less for the money. I was really interested in the Elite before the changes.

The Elite had 4GB RAM and 2x73gb SCSI HDD.
The PRO had 4GB RAM and 4X500GB HDD.

You can always ask for a RAM or HDD upgrade...

True - and if I decide to purchase, I'll definitely do that. It was just a shock to see the processor, RAM and hard drive downgraded yet the price remained the same. Maybe they'll throw all 3 of those in to get it back to where the Elite used to be. Here's hoping!

I was planning to move from Basic to Standard.. But I already lost a $200 one time purchase drive moving from Unmanaged to Managed, and if I move to the Standard I'll lost my 2nd one time purchase..

me too was planning addin a server within a month, now i've to wait and see these servers get sold again and wait for the new configs next time.

Agreed - I will be doing the same, or finding another company. I have contacted sales to see about add ons to upgrade the server back to where it was, but I don't know how feasible that is. It's just frustrating to have waited for a dedicated server and now this - we really needed to get this server soon and I was hoping to go with HG.

Perhaps all that were waiting on the new batch to only be disappointed should email or PM Brent. I think this may raise his awareness of what has occurred and the customers that may go elsewhere if a change isn't implemented!
