1. Which version of PHP is installed on the dedicated servers?
2. Is a weekly backup included with the dedicated servers as it is with the reseller / shared packages? Thank you, Jeff |

You can choose which version of PHP you want to run on a dedicated server either by setting it up yourself or asking support to do it.
You are responsible for any backups on a dedicated server. We purchased a second drive on the server and back up daily to it. You can also use a service such as BQBackup to maintain remote backups. |

Thank you for the quick response.
I'll check out BQBackup. They are new to me. Jeff |

that is the idea of dedicated server, you can do whatever you want there.
you can install any OS and any PHP you want, and backing up is your responsibility, as often as you like

Hey there,
The dedi servers come by default with php 5.2.14 and php 4.4.9, although as the others said, you're free to use whatever you want. Dedicated servers from Standard and up have a second harddisk that can be used to store backups on automatically. We can help you configure your backups as well if you want. You can also use the remote backup service that's been suggested in this thread.
