I just switched over to hostgator monday. The transfer was quick and painless so far. I was told and I've read on hostgator's website that hostgator's datacenter is in NJ. Apparently, the exact datacenter of my previous host. A host that had problems after problems.

But i was told by tech support here, that my particular server is located in Houston, TX. So which is it? And if my previously incompetent host uses the same datacenter as hostgator, should i expect a similar headaches? Thanks.

What's your ip address? We have servers in both tx and new jersey.

Also your previous hosts downtime was most likely due to not knowing how to run a server. It's almost never a datacenters fault as far as downtime goes.
