Customizing Webalizer

Is there any way that I can have the automatic nightly Webalizer run use a customized webalizer config file for my site?

On a previous hosting service, the answer was no, so I had to re-webalize my raw logs myself.

If not, I'm wondering why this capability has never been built into the CPanel shared hosting model? Seems like it would be a very desirable feature and not too hard to do.

I do not use Webalizer, but this is what I would do:
Find the config file in the directory tree, then edit it, then chmod it to read only, then see what happens.
