I think it would be an awesome idea to have an free email service we could offer to members on a website. The email service could be completely customizable where we can make it match our website. Maybe it could be a Fantastico script that we can just install or something we can pay a little extra for to have it added.
This would be a great tool to offer to new and existing customers and then we won't have to go to no one else for the service because it's right here. What do you think? |

on ndnbloggers.com I've got a simple script that signs up new email addresses through cpanel.
http://webmail.ndnbloggers.com Is that something like what you meant? It creates a full pop3 box instead of using a catchall account. |

It would be cool if there is a way to require image verification.

I've just got that signup form as javascript at the moment.
If you're interested I can spend some time tomorrow putting captcha in if you want. |

No that's not what I meant. I mean for us to be able to offer email like yahoo.com and hotmail.com. So people can sign up. Something like the free email service http://zzn.com offers, but it will be offered through hostgator so you won't have to go to another service and you can use your own website like user[at]yoursite.com instead of user[at]yoursite.zzn.com.
Now do you understand what I'm talking about? |

I do believe user othellobloke provided a link to an example. Is that what you want? People can create free user[at]yourdomain email accounts. Please see the link in othellobloke's post.

When I tried a script on the net to login and let users signup when they logged in it was the old Cpanel theme and wasn't even within my site at all. |

Squirrelmail can be themed, but it's not easy. If you need some help with it... just holler. |

Yeah, I'm going to need some help. I don't know the first thing about designing and theming squirrel mail. and the script I use allows members to use all three programs: squirrel mail, roundcube and whatever the other one is. How can I configure it to just squirrel mail, and make squirrel mail match my site theme?

To make it so only squirrelmail is available, a seperate install can be made which is super easy if it's on HG.
Theming squirrel mail from scratch isn't hard, but it's definitely not a five minute job. Private message me. |

Not trying to sound like a jerk here, but you know with your Unlimited Pop3 Accounts here at Hostgator you can just create accounts for your users actually using username@domain.com right? I do it all the time. I spoke with a service rep here at Hostgator and they said that that was 100% okay per their terms of service. Now what I'd REALLY love is a way that I can make it where E107 (my CMS) will go into my cpanel and create the pop3 account for me instead of me having to do it myself.

Kaeldaven... I know that you can do that.
That's what the simple signup script I have does. |
