Positive Customer service [resolved]

Well where do i begin. My experience thus far is far from pleasing.
1. I am a newbie at web page building so it is natural that I would use online support for help.
2. Why use online help if help is not given for example :
Asked a question about transfering folders of pictures larger then 25 meg and having them appear in a folder on my page. core ftp was recommended by the support agent as i can only transfer up to 25 meg individual files individually and not complete folders in site studio said the agent.
First told no it cant be used then told yes it can be used then no again then yes again by 4 different support agents. Well after being told yes the second time i asked for the proper procedure to do this and was given a link that was no help at all. After much distress i was told that i can cancell my account if i want. Mind you this was never asked by me as to the cancellation policy. So here i sit twiddling my thumbs with still no knowledge or assistance from so called online support.
Whats up with that ?

Hello,

You will need to use an FTP client if you are wanting to transfer a lot of large files to your account. The FTP client is also great for smaller files and is much quicker than uploading through the file manager.

We recommend CoreFTP as it is free and works great. You can however choose any FTP client you would like to connect and upload files, they all work pretty much the same.

Once you have downloaded CoreFTP from http://www.coreftp.com you can then setup your connection by following this guide:

http://www.coreftp.com/docs/web1/Con...FTP_server.htm

The Host you will want to use will be ftp.yourdomain.com or the IP address of the server.

The username and password will be the same as your cPanel account.

Once that is configured you should be able to login properly and see the same directories that you see in the cpanel file manager. Your files on our server will be on the right hand side while your local files will be on the left hand side.

All of your website files will need to be uploaded into the public_html directory.

You can follow this guide to see how to upload files to your account on our server.

http://www.coreftp.com/docs/web1/Tra...ing)_files.htm

I hope this helps you get your website online. If you have any questions regarding uploading files via an FTP client or if you need any assistance please let us know.
