What Customer Service? No ETA available?

I alway's thought host gator had pretty good customer service until i actually needed customer service. Ive used the "live Chat" which wasted 45 min. and the agent sent me to an email address for assistance.

I do not have access to my control panel (cpanel) and all they can tell me is that they are changing files to a new server and don't have an ETA. This is the second day of so call file transfer to a new server. Most companies transfer the files then take the server offline not the other way around. (LSA MA).

email i received:

We are currently copying all data from the current server to a new server as the file system checks failed to correct this issue 100%. Unfortunately, there is no ETA as to when the server will be fully functional again but we are working diligently to get everyone back up and running without issues. I apologize for the inconveniences caused by this.

If this is the way Host Gator transfer files during a scheduled maintenance issue, I would not recommend using hox gator to anyone. If you depend on your website, email, and any other server activity forget about this company.

If this isn't cleared up soon I will have to find a new hosting company, transfer all my websites to a new DNS, loose the confidence of my clients depending on their email accounts. etc etc etc...... this costs me!!!!!
