Custom package, change of package.

Hopefully someone from HG could answer this. I've been hosted under them for quite a while now and it's certainly the best hosting i've ever had so kudos for that.
What im writing regarding is the packages you currently have, I currently run two websites and have a main domain I signed up with and I have just recently used the add-on function to add another domain to my hosting account. I am currently on the Reseller package (aluminum), I signed up under that as at the time I thought it would have more features and allow me to host other domains for myself. I never had the intention of hosting other people or selling hosting.
Now I just checked the current packages just out of interest and it seems that the "hosting" package "swamp" would do exactly what im doing with my reseller package but has less storage space, 1gb instead of 24gb, but it was unlimited bandwidth where as the reseller one does not.
The price is also a factor because for losing 23gb of space, im getting the same plan im using but at half the price.
While im not too fussed as being a uk resident all of Host Gators packages are ultra cheap £12 in the UK! Im more interested in getting more for my money. Why pay money for something your not using? The only thing that worries me is the hosting space, while I would have a hard time filling 24gb of space, and am no where near 1gb at present it would be nice to have a little extra just in case and that really is the reason for the post.
Is there any way of getting a "Hosting - Swamp" package but with more than 1gb space without paying the $25 for reseller? It's certainly possible it's just if someone at HG would authorise it I suppose.
On that note, I did speak to sales and posed the question of changing the package down, and they said because im on a reseller account I would have to cancel all my hosting and start fresh, seems a bit silly really, can they not just change it for me instead of having to go through all the hassle?
I suppose it's the prospect of them losing money, but it's a alligator eat alligator world out there and any savings all go towards a greater cause!

I would appreciate any help or replies, especially from a gator!

The swamp package is a 1000Gb package not a 1Gb. If you do not need all that space i would recommend the Baby package instead.

Do a backup of your account and a restore afterward in your baby package and it should be ok.

Just remember with a non reseller account, all your addon domains will be under the one cpanel account. Therefore if your sites for example use more cpu resources than allowed in the TOS, all your sites will be non functioning.

Using a reseller account (the cheapest is $15 p/m) you can create individual cpanel accounts for all your domains.

As a note, the $15 per month Reseller package is not listed on the site. If you would like to know more about it, please email sales@hostgator.com as that is the only way it may be available as it is a custom package, should it still be available at the time of the email.
