Does anyone have or can give me a quote for a mod to Cube Cart that will charge tax by the destination address. I live in Kansas and we have to charge tax not on where the sale takes place but on where it is delivered. Yep, its one of the stupidest things I've ever seen too.

Brazzell23, in the other thread you started about this general issue and shopping carts, I suggested you read a thread in the OS Cart community.
The reason I'm mentioning that: in that thread, somebody brought up the WPL the state of Kansas tax office makes available for people to add to shopping cart code. Having that available may be the difference between a simple Cube project and a real nightmare. Also, have you looked in any of the Cube fora? There's one specifically for mods--it's listed on the main Cube site.

Gwyneth, yep I looked at multiple threads on different sites. I have the wsdl file but have not programming knowledge to speak of so I can't implement the fix. That's why I posted again here to see if anyone was willing to give me a quote on doing it for me or if they know somewhere I can buy the mod that is already done.
I'm screwed I guess. |

Did you try asking on the Cube Cart mod forum?
Also, are you more worried about the intra-state (counties within Kansas) or out of state implications? If you haven't registered with Kansas yet for the out-of-state transactions, your concern seems to be a lot less urgent. According to the Kansas state tax site: Quote:

I did ask on the Cube Cart forum but no answer from anyone. I'm most concerned with sales inside of Kansas because that is where 98% of sales come from.
You would think that if I'm willing to pay someone would jump at the chance, my understanding is that it is very simple to implement the WSDL if you know anything of programming at all, but again i have no experience so... |

I don't have experience with Cube Cart, but could probably figure it out. The problem is I am swamped with work, so it would have to be worth my while. If you are looking for a cheap solution, you can try getafreelancer.com.
