Default Creating Packages

I was looking through the WHM control panel and i didn't see anywhere to create hosting packages. Is it something i overlooked and can you make your own custom packages for people to buy?

If you look in whm toward the bottom of the menu frame on the left it certainly is there under packages >> add packages

This is not a pre-sales question, so I am moving to the Support section.

Default creating packages

Ok - well i made what i thought WAS a presales question! I was looking at the WHM demo to see how easy it was to create packages BEFORE i bought thus the PRESALES - since i am currently a customer at Total Choice Hosting and see how easy it is to create packages - however your WHM isn't set up like theres and i didn't see a "Create Package" link on yours. But someone moved my post to a section that i am unable to read because i can't register for that part of the forums as i am currently a non client because i can't get an answer to my PreSales question.

Im sure this was just an honest mistake, they probably assumed that you were a customer and that you were looking through your whm, not a demo. I am sure that it does not leave you with a good impression, but I have had great service here overall and am sure that you would be happy here as well.

To answer your question, it is easy to create packages. Under the packages heading, click on add packages. You fill in the quota information, package name and click create. Voila! you have a new package. Many features are not active in the demo because of security reasons.

We're sorry for the inconvenience this caused. The way the question was asked it looked like you had access to WHM and therefore were a customer.
I merged your two threads into this one.

I guess Graham's and Justin's responses answer your question. Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions.

Thank you,
Stef.

by any chance does the demo not have all the features as the regular whm panel? i am accessing the whm demo from the resellers page and i still am not finding a section titled packages - i took a screenshot of what i am seeing but i guess you can't add attachments in this forum. Can someone check the whm demo panel and see if maybe i am still overlooking it?

ok i think i found the problem - right above where you click for the whm demo this is posted: Demos don't have all features due to security reasons.
I take it this one of the items that is not included in the demo?

Thanks Stef, if it is how you say it is then it should be similar to the one i use now.

Yes this is one of those features that is not active. If you are currently using cpanel/WHM then it should be done exactly the same way with both hosts.

My apologies for the confusion. The thread was moved because it appeared to me that you were asking a support question rather than pre-sales. Hopefully you have found your answer here and will be joining us soon.
