What CPU & RAM do reseller servers run on?

Hi there - I'm considering swapping from another Reseller hosting over to Hostgators - and want to know what servers they're run on... CPU RAM etc

Or can I use a VPS hosting account?

Are the speeds of the servers for resellers better than non-resellers?

I believe the reseller servers have 16 X 2.4Ghz processors and 12GB of ram.

I'm not sure about the shared servers - All I know is that they have 8 processors.
