Default Cpanel....why not fix this?

Okay,

The last 3 days I've been round and round about Spam Assassin. The first day, they give me advice on the chat, and I follow it. Nothing works. The second day, they tell me that I need to disable my catchall. I can't, because HG doesn't allow that if it was enabled before it was banned, so I have to have her do it. It changes nothing because I am on an old server.

She said this was why my SpamAssassin spambox isn't working. Before, the person I talked to said I wasn't showing spams because I didn't have a Junk folder. So I made Junk and junk, and subscribed to them in Squirrelmail and they showed up in Horde as well. Still no spams. I of course had made spam and Spam folders before that.

Well, thired day. I talk to support, they say all of the things above, and then I ask them to go in and look.

Every chat, I let them know, I had the spambox on, and autodelete off.

When Cpanel shows you Spam "Auto Delete is Disabled", that means it's disabled, right?

WRONG. He said there is a cpanel problem with it showing if it's disabled or enabled.

Support the third day tells me that it's on. Yet, on my end, it shows "Spam Auto Delete is Disabled". Weird, right?

I ask when this can get fixed. They said it's something Cpanel has to do. The last three days, I have had countless emails autodeleted due to this.

Why is it that we are using a Cpanel that has such a bad flaw in it? If that is the case, why isn't support checking for people who have issues with it, first thing, since we on the other end as customers can't make sure of it ourselves? That should be first when a ticket or chat is initiated that has to do with no emails coming through...

Anyway...there are other cpanel oddities but this one takes the cake. Please make it a priority.

Of course I suspected it was on still even though it said it, since that would cause my problem, but if something says it's disabled...I kinda expect it to be disabled...

You will need to contact cPanel directly with your concerns; HostGator did not make cPanel. I agree your problem sounds very annoying, but there could be much more major and worse flaws.

esl is right. All HG can do is to upgrade your cpanel if you are on an old version. cPanel is by far the best control panel, I dont think HG to stop using it in near future
