I dont mean to hijack a post, but I felt it would be better to reply, not start a new one.

Is CPanel hosted on my site or your server?

Example:

www.hostgator.com/cpanel

www.mysite.com/cpanel (meaning the files count towards me and my size and data count)

thanks in advance for your time.

Cpanel does feature some branding options, but it is very limited in what it allows.

Your site and the server are the same thing pretty much when it comes to Cpanel, if you want an explanation of how this all works might want to check Cpanel's homepage, I'll warn you though it gets a bit complicated

I did some light branding on my CpanelX header using the "branding" link in WHM. Example:

http://knightville.net/panelcap.htm

It's a bit confusing at first. And, you need to be pretty clever with your graphics software. The nice thing is, if you screw it up you can just delete your files and it reverts to the default images.

I don't think you can alter the icons, but some of the alternate themes are pretty intense.

cPanel is not installed on each account, only on the server itself as virtual. Therefore, if someone edited one of the pages on cpanel, it would edit throughout the whole server.
