I think a great addition would be a way to check your iNODE counts, perhaps in cPanel.
I LOVE HostGator, but recently had my account suspended for about 4 hours because I went over the 50,000 file iNODE limit. How 'bout it? Any chance? Because I'm sure the great staff in support is sick of my emails asking them were I stand in iNODE counts ![]() Rob |

You should suggest that to cPanel, not HostGator.

You can check your INODE usage from SSH (you can get jailshell from hostgator) then run
# find . -printf "%i\n" | sort -u | wc -l from your accounts root directory Last edited by Sam; 06-30-2007 at 09:31 PM. Reason: typo |

50k INODES is a lot of INODES, you really should have a handle on the number you are using. To use 50k INODES is tough, it shouldn't come to you as a surprise that you have that many used. With that many INODES, backups should be a major pain...

Maybe GatorDave could make it part of the HG Addons

I can probably make an inode count script in the next version of HG Extras. I need to get the PHPSuEXEC migrations, make an addon for SiteBuilder, and a lot of other internal code done before I get the inode count done.
