Is there any way to set default settings for new cPanels created through WHM?

Some examples I would like to set are:

1.) No frontpage extensions

2.) Redirect mail.domainname.com to horde
or
3.) Use only Horde webmail client

1. Create your hosting package then just unselect the frontpage field. If the package is already created delete it and remake without it.

The closest thing with that is domain.com/webmail/ but there is no way to have it pick hordemail for you.

Yeah, I actually have no problem getting it to automatically select hordemail. I just set the mail.domain.com redirect to http://domain.com:2095/horde/index.php and it works fine.

It would be nice if I could have that redirect set up for every new account I create without having to log in to the customer cPanel to set it up.

It would also have a downside to it as well. More people from my expeirience use noemail. Giving them the choice makes them happier. Most people use POP as well and leave webmail to travelling. So those who need it the way you want it wait for them to ask for it before actually setting it up that way as many people don't care or don't want to be limited to the one.

Yeah, well the main reason why I just chose one to go with and have it direct right to it is so that it is faster to get to webmail and there are no extra unnecessary clicks. It would be nicer if the client could just choose their default mail client and have it go right to the inbox immediately after entering their username and password.

I don't even like the fact how you have to press the login button twice when getting into the email because it is a wasted click.

I'm in agreement with jaycorrales on this one. I setup a subdomain (webmail.domain.com) to point to horde, but I think that having to click login first on the pop-up and then on the main login screen is a wasted click. It should just take your right to the inbox.

If there's a way to get it to do this, please share.

In regards to having to setup webmail.domain.com for every cpanel user, I just set it up once under my domain - webmail.mycompany.com. Then I let all of my hosting customers know to go to that URL and just login with their username and password. The benefit of this?...the customer will become very familiar with my company's business name because everytime they want to check their email they have to login to my domain. And, the better if not equal benefit, is that you only need to setup the subdomain once instead of for every single account you are reselling.

If you want the interface in a different language other than English, then second login is necessary!

Well, what if I don't want the interface in a different language?

(then the second login is not necessary )

has there every been any resolution on this?

I also get a strange error in FireFox with SquirrelMail. When I login using webmail.domain.com it redirects me to a page that says "Error, you must login" and gives me a link. When I click on that link, it takes me to the Inbox, logged in.

Hi,
I don't know if this has been answered in the Resellers Forum (cuz i'm still waiting to gain access to these forums.. subtle hint hint) But has this been resolved - As 'minds' has outlined - i too would like to go directly to a customized login page for webmail - squirrelmail/horde/neo - without the cpanel popup login - it is more streamlined for a reseller company - i know how to setup a redirect url to a subdomain i create - yada yada .. webmail.yourdomain.com - but how do i create a custom login page - with two simple boxes - user name - and - password... without cpanel popup? anybody?

i know a form will take care of the input boxes - but every url i try to access any of these email clients directly - i keep getting a cpanel popup. I prefer not to click 'login' twice - to get email. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
