Hi, I'm new to this hosting, and I'm wondering if cPanel 11 will ever be installed on the Shared hosting packages?
A reply back would be very appreciative. |

I ran a search and some of the shared servers do appear to have been upgraded. All will eventually be upgraded since cPanel will cease to support version 10. I have cPanel 11 on an account with another host and would have preferred that they had waited a bit longer since I had some email problems for a few days after the change.

I had it on my old host and it was more organized and was more user-friendly. I gave away e-mail accounts but nobody had a problem with them, including myself. However, I did have problems when I tried to mass-email all of my members (195) on my vBulletin AdminCP, and then my site locked up, but that's it.

In a sense, cPanel 11 is already on our servers. The actual version of cPanel on our shared and reseller servers is the latest stable release, which is in the 11.x version series. What you are referring to is the cPanel "theme". In this case, cPanel 10 (or cPanel X) is the older theme, and is still our default. cPanel 11 (or cPanel X3) is available; however we have not yet rolled this out as our default theme.
You can, however, email support@hostgator.com and request to have your theme switched to "X3". We'll process the change, and the next time you log in to your cPanel, you will have the new cPanel 11/X3 theme. |

vb acutally has a basic version of throttling, by setting the batch size in the admincp.
