Coupon Usage

I was thinking of paying for one month so that I can try out the system, then sign up for a year. I don't mind paying the $25 for the one month without a discount, but would I be able to then use the coupon (20%) for signing-up for the year.

You could sign up for a year -- with the coupon -- and if you don't like it, cancel within the first 30 days.

I don't think the OP means two coupons. I think he's asking, if he pays full price for the first month, then decides to continue can he use the coupon at that point?

My mistake, I didn't read that correctly. If you pay full price the first month you can definitely use the coupon for the 2nd invoice for an annual payment. Just email sales[at]hostgator.com and ask them to generate the invoice with the 20% discount.

Thanks for response. Another question...when signing up I have to enter my domain name in the order form, I have a site built using that domain name, will it affect my site that is currently live?

Not until you change over the DNS records to your new hostgator ip addresses.

Until you make that change, you should have no problems using your old site until your new one is completed.
