I'm trying to configure the "www root" for a sub account on my VPS.
This pain in the butt user (me) would like to make a few changes. Normally, apache looks in /root/home/<user>/public_html for the root html file for that account. I would like the main www to be in /root/home/<user>/public_html/wp so that I can create other subdomains under /root/home/<user>/public_html/sub_1 Where in WHM can I set the main directory for what I'm calling www root? Thanks |

you would normally not do that.
I create a folder called "subdomains" in the public_html folder and when creating subdomains, I use this folder as the root for my subdomains. (so in the subdomains folder I make subdomain1, subdomain2 etc.). You must have some special reason for wanting the other thing, I know, but can't figure out why the "normal" way is not ok for you ? |

Awesome - thanks! That should work.
I like to setup my domains that way because I don't want someone entering /home/<user>/public_html/subdomain as www.<user>.tld/subdomain Plus, it makes things easier for me to see while in FTP. Thanks again |
