A big thumbs up to Hostgator in handling a client of mine who was seriously overusing CPU and RAM on a shared server!

They moved the account to a semi-dedicated server, keeping it operational the whole time, and immediately notified me that I had 7 days to remedy the situation. WOW! Folks...that doesn't happen in the real world very often. I know quite a few people who have had their hosts just turn them off when they were draining resources.

In addition, upon my request, Brent sent me the exact usage figures so I could determine whether this customer would be 'safe' to put on one of my two dedicated servers. (Not a chance - this guy is WAY over using anything possible on a shared server) So - I referred him to HG directly since we aren't in a position to handle semi-dedicated accounts right now.

HG's professional response to this situation saved me a lot of grief, kept my customer calm, and may end up with them servicing my customer directly.
