cname redirection

Hi. I am considering a hostgator reseller account. Several of our clients utilize a hosted CMS called Squarespace. In order for that to work properly, we need to set up cname redirection for both the www domain and the plain domain.com. Does Hostgator allow you to redirect the www cname or the A record for a URL to point to an external site?

In a reseller account you have WHM, and in that you have access to the dns settings of the domains you host.
