I am on jeep and yesterday all of the files and folders on all of my sites had their uid and gid changed. This is causing my scripts to not work because they no longer have the correct permissions due to the change.
I opened a ticket [DHQ-61969-453] with support yesterday (6/12) at 3:26pm (PST). It is now 9:33am (PST) on 6/13 and I have yet to receive a response. I would like to know why the uid and gid were changed on all of the files and what it is suggested I do to fix the problem. I am also unable to use Image::Magick due to permission problems because of the changes. I have not changed anything to cause this and I do not want to have to rewrite my scripts or change all of my permissions to 777 so everything will work.d Thanks, Eric |

Turns out all of my problems are because suExec was turned off on Apache. I spoke with Jule online but still have not found out what the resolution will be.
Patiently waiting... :? Eric |

I am looking for an update on the suexec issue. It was disabled last week without notification and has caused functionality problems with the scripts on my sites...as I'm sure it has on others as well.
I have spoken with Jule, Christine, etc...I was told that I would be updated last night with information as to rather suexec was going to be reenabled or not... This has to have caused issues on many sites. You cannot just change the uid/gid of a process and expect everything to work normally. I cannot believe that this was done without notification or thought into how it would affect your customers... Why is this taking days to figure out...I have been patient, but this is getting rediculous. I do not want to hear anymore about permissions on scripts and such...I know how scripts work. The point is that the scripts no longer function like they did last week because of the change. Are you going to go through all of the sites and make the necessary changes to fix this...or reenable suexec. I need some answers. |

I have been told that this issues has now finally been resolved. Suexec has been re-enabled and the "problem" has been fixed...we'll see.

I just want to say that I received an email from Brent tonight explaining what the problem was and how it was resolved...which is all I have wanted to hear for 4 days
Everything appears to be working now and I just want to thank the support staff for figuring out the problem and Brent for his customer service. Regards, Eric |
