I'm a reseller - experiencing problem with my account since this AM.
I telephoned support at around 7:00AM and was told the server was being "backed-up" and that it would only take a couple of minutes. A little later - maybe about an hour, I was finally able to access my WHM and access websites hosted on my account as well. I was also finally able to "send" one email. Since around 10:00AM however, (it's now 2:45PM CST), I ahven't been able to access my account OR receive/send email. I wrote to support via another email account at 12:19PM and have yet to hear anything from support on the issue. (My account and websites are still unavailable). What I'm not sure of, is whether or not I've submitted a "ticket" appropriately? And what is this "ticket" anyway? Where so I find/submit one? |

In my experience here, simply sending an email to support@hostgator.com is a support ticket.
You're probably used to a control panel of sorts in which one "opens" tickets? Me too. But every time I send an email, I get an automated reply with a support number.

vandora is correct. We will be implementing an online tiecket system in the not-so-distant future, but for now you just need to send an email to support@hostgator.com and be sure to include your account info to help speed up the process.

You're right, Vandora, I was searching for some type of support ticketing application but was unable to find anything on the hostgator site which indicated there was one. By the way, all is well again with my account! This is really the first time I've experienced such a long "down-time" in the months I've had an account with hostgator and I would like to commend those who work so hard to ensure things continue to run smoothly for all of us! THANK YOU TECH SUPPORT!
