I am trying to create a form that will allow people to upload a file along with the form submission. I am using Frontpage 2002. But I can't seem to get it to work because I get an error about the Frontpage Extensions.

Can someone tell me what Frontpage Extensions are installed - 2000 or 2002? And if/when they will be upgraded to 2002?

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how to get this done.

Thank you!

The FP5 module is currently installed on Host Gator servers. This module is compatible with Frontpage 2003 and is also backwards-compatibile with versions as far back as Frontpage 98.

If you are still requiring help, we will need to know more about your problem. The exact error you receive and a link to the page would be a good start.

Ok, good to know! Thanks I'll fiddle with it some more and see what I can get it to do.

Thanks again - you have great customer service!

okay, I think I have part of my problem narrowed down. When creating the form and adding the file upload field, I have to create a folder on the web for the uploaded files to go to. In doing this, I am supposed to set the properties for the folder to allow anonymous uploads but I can't.

I am editting the folder live, not disc-based.
I have set the permissions for the folder to 777.

I can't think of what else is wrong. The options for setting the anonymous uploads are dimmed out when I try to access them while editting live or disc-based.

I've been told the file upload will not function on Unix servers, is this my problem?

Our servers use Linux, which is basically a watered down flavor of Unix. My guess is that if it won't work on Unix, it won't work on Linux.

Ok, then I can quit driving myself crazy trying to get it to work and will try the php form instead.

Thanks for the quick responses! 8)
