The civic server has been acting up all day today. For the last 12 hours all of the domains in my Reseller Account have either responded extremely slowly or stopped responding altogether. Server speed varries wildly and email access keeps going away.
I have had 4-5 email exchanges with Support, and the problem is temporarily resolved, and then again the server goes down. This has happened 3-4 times today. This is nuts! What is going on? Can someone please fix the darn thing once and for all? I am losing sales and upset customers keep calling me. Thanks. |

I don't resell hosting accounts. I host my own domains that have actual businesses on them. Those were the sales I was referring to. With the current overheads, traffic, and growth, getting a dedicated server is a complete overkill as far as resources. I would like a gradual growth path to allow me to slowly expand, while maintaining high availability and stability of my live e-commerce sites.

Newhall, I'm in the same boat as yourself. Civic has been giving me regular 'Unavailable' headaches for the past couple months. I'm also receiving nearly 900,000 HTTP 302 errors on a particular domain - which is odd because I rarely reach more than 6,000 hits per month. I wonder if there's a worm hitting Civic?

Civic was upgraded to a centos and a new kernal. (probably the downtime you saw while this was going on. I haven't seen any problems on it since the upgrade.

Thank you for the update. The problems ceased recently and I'm showing 100% uptime since I began monitoring it. I'm glad work is being done to resolve the issues.

CIVIC down again tonight 1+ hour!!!
Can someone PLEASE look at finding a way to STABALIZE this server, add more resources, etc. or maybe move the accounts to a more stable and solid server. Things were great for 8+ months, but for the last 2 months this server has been down 1-2 hours on a regular basis. Thanks! |

Same here, can't access any of my domains on civic.websitewelcome.com. One is DNS cached and comes up, but the other 6 do not. A local nslookup returns zilch. A friend of mine on GMC is working fine.

SiteUptime reported the server was down again today (5/18/2006) for 30 minutes, between 05:30:33 PST and 06:00:34 PST.
What is going on with that server?
