Hi,
I had heard good things about Host Gator and their site looks awesome but when I looked at the demo I saw that is has Chatrooms as one of the things that it has, but in the plan features I didn't see anything about chatrooms. So I was wondering what support Host Gator has for chatrooms. Thanks! |

PhpMyChat is available to install through cPanel.

Per the TOS:
Not allowed: ... b) Run any type of interactive real-time chat applications that require server resources. Remotely-hosted services are fully allowed. ... So, while you may be able to install phpMyChat, it will get you suspended, if they find it running. You can run IRC, so that is one solution. |

Not that we have any interest in starting chat services, but I'm curious about how the two chat things shown in CPanel, one called Chat, the other being pHpMyChat, differ from what HG doesn't allow.
