Chat with HostGator this Thursday at 5 PM CT

Basically, we're hosting an Open Session on Thursday, July 2 at 5 PM CT. HostGator employees and management will be around to answer questions, take suggestions and ideas, give tips on how to get the most out of your account and website with HostGator, and more.

We'll also be giving away some free web hosting to some random attendees and to people with particularly good questions or ideas. It should be an informative (and hopefully fun) hour or so.

We're hosting it on something called TalkShoe, which will allow you to either call in, listen from your computer, or just chat online. When 5 PM CT (click here for timezone conversions) on Thursday rolls around, head over to this page for information on how to join.

Maybe if we subscribe to this thread, then they can respond here and we'll all get the heads up. Will that work Doug?

That works. Feel free to subscribe and we'll get this updated before it starts.

Not explicitly. We'll only answer questions that we think are interesting / applicable to others, so there is some moderation, but the questions won't be moderated to the extent that they would be at something more formal.

Should we ask all our questions here or will we be asking them live?

Either is fine. If you ask the here, we can do some research in advance and perhaps get some more detailed or interesting answers.

I must have missed Lance, but I did see Chad.

It was certainly nice to have an open forum with employees and customers, but it was difficult to follow and some people's questions were getting missed.

I think a more moderated setup would be better. We could submit questions ahead of time or while in the chat room and only those that are approved will be shown.

Also, you all did a great job moderating those other comments that were made during the session. Thanks for keeping it clean.
