Default Charger Issue

Anyone know what's up with Charger? All sites I have there are fouled up! Images and formatting are screwed.

This is the second time this has occured. swf files will not show, jpg and gif images show as broken, although I have verified all files and images are intact and in their correct location.

I also received failure notices for http for all domains I run on this server.

Are you still having problems? If so you should email the support department with your servername, main domain name, username and describe the issue in as much detail as possible. Could you also post the ticket number and what message you submitied (minus the account information, if you do not want us to know)? Thank you.

Thanks, I have submitted a ticket XMI-393962 and am working with David W. No resolution yet, though the sites are currently working. I know there is something going on with or on charger though I have received concurring downtime messages from my paid http monitor.

This happened a few days ago as well. All of my websites were affected until I updated just one static site (kinda like kicking the server box) as then they ALL started working. Just weird!

Brad,
I also noticed that you do not a SPF record setup on your domain; you may want to ask David to set one up for you after everything else is resolved.

Here is some information on SPF records.

After going in circles with support as they kept sidestepping the issue, at least Dave gave me a real answer once it got to him:

"I noticed that the httpd error log was cleared at around 3pm today because it became oversized. This might sound like bad news (as there is no error log for the most recent outage), but I also noticed that another user's script is generating excessive errors that is likely causing the problems you're seeing.

I've disabled that script."

Now, it would have been nice to have had someone look at the error log for the server when I first brought this to the attention of HG support. Now I must wait and see if this happens again. Hope I don't lose another customer again next time.

Thanks Dave! Really, you helped when others did not. I only wish we could have viewed the error log.
