Quick question. Say I were to pay for the shared hatchling plan for multiple months - say the 3 yr for $3.96/ea. Then after 1 year, I want to add more domains, and so want to change to the baby plan. Is it possible to simply pay the difference for the remaining period of time ($3.96 times 12 months + $6.36 times the remaining 24 months) or would I have to wait until the end of the 3 years to avoid forfeiting the entire payment?
The help files all just say "you can upgrade at any time, there's no contract," but don't address the prepaid pricings. |

If I understand correctly, you would be billed the difference between the two plans at the 24 month pricing. For example: You start with the hatching @ 3.96/month for 36 months = $142.56. You chug along for a year and the decide you want to upgrade to the Baby plan, and want to pre-pay that 24 months in advanced. This means you will pay 7.16/month, but they will take into account the money you paid for the hatchling plan. So your balance on the hatchling after 12 months is: $95.04. So at 7.16/month = 171.84 - Your Balance: 95.04 = $76.80 will be the difference you owe. If you want 6.36/month pricing, I'm afraid you'd have to pre-pay an additional year to get that pricing.
Let me know if you have any questions. |
