Hello--
I am considering transferring some of my domains to Hostgator. Can you advise whether I can do the following at Hostgator? 1. Have a catchall e-mail address 2. Have all e-mail get tagged by SpamAssassin (just tagged, not deleted) 3. After tagging, forward e-mail to a 3rd party (yahoo) e-mail account? If this is possible, is the configuration straightforward, or am I going to have to write all sorts of procmail and EXIM scripts/filters? I am aware of the problems with catchall accounts. As a result, I am looking for an alternative for down the road. Can you tell me: 1. Is there a way to script the creation of e-mail forwarders (or must it be done via cpanel)? More specifically, is the file that contains the list of e-mail forwarders available for write access outside of Cpanel? 2. Does Hostgator offer "plus" e-mail addresses? E.g. me+[any string]@mydomain.com where "any string" need not be pre-defined. Also, do you assist in site migration (would be great if I didn't have to down/upload all the sites). Many thanks, Sandheep Hopeful Hostgator customer |

I suggest you to simply sumbit all this per email to sales@hostgator.com so you will have an official position as part of your deal. Let them 1 day or some for to go trough all the services concerned. Anytime welcome here, don't hesitate, come back for any question. |
