Positive Worst Case Scenario

Hacked last night and the enitre domain pretty much was destroyed. This happened to me on my old host too and their response was: bad luck, reupload.

Happened here after about 2 weeks of happy gator hosting and of course I was devestated and paniced.

Submitted a ticket and had incredible repsonses that were helpful, and more importantly (at least to me who was very upset and stressed at the time,) supportive and understanding. They made me feel like my problem was important to them.

I have everything backed up so all it was really, was a massive inconvienece, not the devestating disaster it might have been. Still, that does not make the situation anything but a nightmare.

Assuming the matter was closed after the attack was confirmed, i recieved a number of further emails to offer help, such as improving my security via php.ini edits (which Jamyn did on my behalf without me having to ask, as well as an explanation of what actually happened and a tidy up of the files i had missed)

I cannot express how impressed i am with the level of support and help that I have recieved in what is an incredibly stressful time for anybody hosting a website (especially if you are not a total net genius.)

My previous gator experiences have all been good, but this went above and beyond anything I expected and am happy to say, two of my friends will be heading over to adopt a baby gator each, as they were equally impressed with how this situation was dealt with.

Default Re: Worst Case Scenario

That is great to hear, I was reading the first of the post and was going to tell you to get in contact with our Security team. But it looks like Jamyn already has you fixed up. We hate to see peoples sites get hacked into, its unfortunate and sometimes unavoidable. But there are some measures you can take to prevent it.

Thank you for the good review.
