Can't update web sites - "Read Only"

TICKET # PBL-2426986:

I am suddenly unable to update any part of any of of my websites via FTP. I get a message "553 Rename/move failure: Read-only file system." I am also unable to use ChMod - I get a message that it "may be disallowed on the remote system."

Additionally, I can only send email, and cannot receive it.

The LIce Chat link leads to a 404 error - any estimate on fixing my problem? I really need to update today!

gator170 is showing /home to be read only and I'm forcing a filesystem check on it at this time. Please see the following thread for any further updates :
