Hello!
Lovely AT&T has changed the way that they allow the e-mail to go through and it's made it so that I can't send e-mail at all. They claim that the only way that they will let outgoing e-mail go through is via POP3 SSL in port 995. Anyone have any hints or ideas on how to get my e-mail outgoing again? It will download my mail after I ok the certificate constantly (which is a pain, but at least it works) but AT&T just keeps refusing the SMTP connection. Thanks in advance! Have a great day! ~ Heather |

Heather,
Try this HostGator knowledge base link. Talks about trying port 26 instead of 25. http://support.hostgator.com/index.p...130&nav=0,75,6

Thanks!
I found that one and it didn't do a thing for me. I'm ready to pull out my hair. Have a great day! Heather |

So have you configured your email client to use either IMAP or POP3/SSL ?

My ISP "was" BellSouth, now ATT. I got this problem this morning. The way I fixed was to used BellSouth's as SMTP: mail.bellsouth.net I guess for ATT's will be the same: mail.att.net
Additional info here: http://www.bellsouth.com/residential...nternet_7.html BTW, I tried switching to Port 26 but didn't work. |

If you are having trouble sending mail using SBC, AT&T, Yahoo outgoing mail server, as I did, you may want to read the info at the following link on "Verifying Your Alternate Email Address".
