Can't see my site??

Ok, I'm as much of a noobie as noobie can get, but I'm wondering why I can't view my site. I set up my HG account yesterday and had them register my domain, twistedcents.com, at the same time. I understand that the DNS needs to be propagated and that until that fully occurs, I won't be able to access my site via the direct url. However, per the e-mail instructions I received and the FAQ section, I should be able to view my site by going to http://iphere/~username/. I even followed the exact customized link in the welcome e-mail. I installed Wordpress via Fantastico, so I should see the default WP theme when I view my site via the above URL, right? Why can't I view anything?

Sorry if this is the wrong section for this post, but I'm waiting for full approval for the rest of the forum.

The domain is not showing as registered. You should contact support through a ticket or Live Chat and ask them to check on it and to check on viewing the site using the IP address.

The live chat tech was of no use. He said my account was still pending and that maybe my information needed to be verified (although he wasn't sure). Basically he said "sorry, wait it out and see if anything changes." He wasn't very helpful and has given me a poor first impression of HG. If my account needs verification before domain registration, etc. fine - but at least give me notification. I'd be fine with an e-mail (automated or not) letting me know that is standard. Instead I'm left in the dark and my inquiry seemed like just a guess by the tech.

The domain is working fine for me now. The domain registration is showing as registered as well.
