Can't post in main forum anymore?

I use to be able to post in the main forum... I just tried to create a thread and it told me I don't have privileges. Please restore my privileges... thank you.

Not sure what you mean by the "main forum", but assuming it's the General Announcements, then this has recently been disabled. You will see that's it listed under Hostgator Announcements, so only HG staff can start threads.

If you look at the bottom left of each forum page, you can see the posting rules as to what you can and can't do.

Also, if you've changed your e-mail address in your profile, you may have to be verified again... if the post above isn't happening.

Right; General Announcements are really meant for, well, HostGator announcements. You can still respond to threads started by staff, so if you have a comment or update on something, that works fine.

The problem is people would like to be able to subscribe to that forum for email alerts, but customers were adding their own unrelated threads.
