Can't get OS-Commerce to install ..... Help Please

Trying to install OS-Comerce and I keep this exact error:

Install OS Commerce (2/3)


The installation can not be completed:

- No valid directory name provided.


Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors.

The directions for directory installation say:

Enter a name to install in a directory (access example: http://domain/name/). Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain (access example: http://domain/).

The directory i'm trying to install it on is http://gimme5ive.com/store and http://gimme5ive.com/store/. Both yield the same results

Try changing the permissions (CHMOD) of your store directory to 755 or 777 and see if that helps.

No workie, but thanx anyway. I was told by support that it can only be installed on the root dir. and not the sub. So I went ahead and created a sub-domain for it, and whaddya know!! it worked. If there is anyway to install on a sub directory, please let me know.
