Some users may not be able to access cPanel or Webmail due to their firewall.
Some firewalls will block the secure/standard cpanel ports, which are:
This script is made for people who use cPanel. Its purpose is to give access to cPanel (including webmail and WHM) at port 80 by acting like a proxy. (For people behind strict firewalls.) I know you should now be scratching your head wondering how hard it will be to install it, but you should not. You can install it with just 1 click. To do so, simply click here and fill input your account details there. It will connect to your account and install it automatically. After it is installed, you should be able to access cPanel through http://cpanel.yourdomain.com and Webmail through http://webmail.yourdomain.com. If it does not work, send us an email, or contact us on LiveChat. We'll be glad to help you. You can also reply to this thread, as I am subscribed to it and will be notified of responses. =================== Andre R. LiveChat Support Rep. HostGator.com, LLC |

I'm behind a very restrictive firewall while at work, and I have been looking for a solution to access my WHM, Cpanel and mail.
I tried to install this, but apparently it did not work for me. I got the following: Quote:

Thanks guys. I waited for almost 20 minutes for it to finish yesterday and it never went beyond what I posted, so I figured it was finished. Must have been my poor internet connection here.
Anyway I ran it again today and it went through to completion... and the webmail is working now, but I still get the cannot find server message when I try to go to cpanel.pitrow.... Andre, how do you PM on this forum? I can't find a way to do it, maybe I'm just not seeing it.

The problem has been resolved.
The package you were using for that account had a subdomain limit of 1. That's why cPanelProxy failed. There were no subdomains available. ![]() I modified that in your reseller account and had it setup to allow 5 in that domain. http://webmail.pitrowproductions.net/ http://cpanel.pitrowproductions.net/ |

I don't know if this problem is related, but when I'm at work I can't get my webpage to load (not to mention cPanel, Joomla!, or anything else related to my site). Is there a reason a firewall would block a website completely? I have huge amounts of time at work (more or less on call) and it's really frustrating not being able to work on my site. I know it has to be something on my end... any suggestions? I know a proxy would probably work but I'm not allowed to use a proxy here.

It is in fact related. Most of the corporate networks won't allow you to get into cPanel because it's not under the port 80. cPanelProxy should resolve that, but if the whole site is blocked, then there's nothing you can do about it unfortunately. Just wait for them to drop the blocked IP rules as admins do that from time to time.

Just being a little bit paranoid, but how can I be sure that entering my username, IP and password to:
CPANELPROXY.NET Niels Anderson ******@myplace.dk) +45.26273779 Fax: +45. Gersdorffsgade 9, 3 Horsens, 8700 DK is not giving me a security breach in my account or server? I have not seen Cpanelproxy.net been endorsed by Cpanel. This is not intended to do a flame on anyone, just a little bit curious.

First post here, but wanted to say thank you. Program worked perfectly for me, and now I will be able to access cPanel from work. Wish I had known about this months ago.

You dont get a separate cPanel for a subdomain... its the same one as your main domain

I installed cPanelProxy for webmail only for a couple of domains...and it works fine.
After the initial login that takes me to the page to choose which email programme of three to enter, I get another login prompt, which seems to be in relation to the RoundCube image....I cancel the login prompt, and there is no image for RoundCube. Cannot figure out where to load this image to take effect with a cPanelProxy login. Any suggestions? Didn't want to contact support for a relatively minor issue, thinking I could solve it myself after posting here. |

Hmm why not just moved everyone cPanel to this method so we wouldn't need to go through this?
By the way this is kewl and it worked. |

BRILLIANT!
I've always been frustrated by my inability to access cpanel at my job, and now I'm able to - thanks to this proxy method. You're a genius, dude...
