when someone trys to cancel the hosting account you should send the email asking for last four digits of thecredit card on file or your last PayPal transaction ID and right after that there account should be canceled right away not 24 hours later

Yes, HG should put a lot of people on closing accounts so that customers that are leaving have a good experience... (Plus as everyone pays monthly, it would seem there is plenty of time to cancel...)

I can understand the logic, separately, of the two prongs of this idea but not together--one slows down the cancellation, one speeds it up.

What's with the hurry to have your account canceled as long as it is canceled before the next billing period?

I suspect that if you cancel your account one day before billing, and they bill for it, they will issue a refund.
