Default Can you access this site?

I just signed up a new account, located in Belize. (I'm in Notheast US) He says he can't access his site. I'd just like to get some attempts from a few points around the globe before I take him down that old "it's your ISP" road.

(I know, I know...)

Thanks in advance!

I am also in the Notheast US, which really should not matter, and I see the site ok.

Thanks maddog,
You are right. Location shouldn't, and usually doesn't matter. But convincing a new client of that can be tough without some backup.

Also I just learned that his "ISP" is a local machine using zoneedit.com. Anyone know how this could effect things?

It works for me... here in California... the only thing I can think of, if it's a very new DNS change, is it just hasn't propogated yet where he is... if that's it, it should be fine by tomorrow or so... seems we had that problem more in the past, but since I've been using BulkRegister, they seem to get the change recoginzed quicker. Or maybe I'm just getting slower so it seems that way...

Works fine for me (from western europe). I tested through two links both cross atlantic (submarine) 1 through England to NY the other through Portugal to Florida.

When you have these types of issues try testing with traceroute tools they are available at most of the major telecom operators worldwide (google it).

Thanks everyone,

The client was able to access his site within hours of DNS change, but it failed several days later.

Problem resolved soon after I posted this and I didn't get a chance to experiment with traceroutes. For all I know, he may have been typing it wrong. I know I did a few times.

Thanks again!
