Hello people.
newbie here! I am looking to build a new site using xsitepro2 and hostgator as webhost. My domain name (markthewelder.com) is currently with namecheap and pointed to microsoft office live hosting.... which isn't working and i'm having too many major problems and can't get a response from support. So..... is it feasible to point my domain name to hostgator and use third party web site creation software such as xsitepro2 to build my site? ...I really want to be able to upload my new web site files directly from xsitepro2 into hostgator without the major complications that i'm having with ms office live hosting. I have created a similar site (markthewelder.co.uk) and i have it hosted with bt (british telecom uk), however, many problems with the sitebuilder software... so best i not even mention that bit! ....thank you in advance for your advice. ![]() mark. |

Hello markthewelder,
Welcome to the Hostgator Forums! Using xsitepro2 to build your website is fine. Many of our clients use third party website builders. And changing the nameservers over namecheap is very easy to do. Let us know if you need help -) |

thank you for the rapid response.....
I must be on the wrong support forum, as I've never had this fast of a reply before! I first searched the forum for xsitepro2 threads and couldn't find anything... so thought it best to ask the question directly. Isn't it nice to suddenly have confidence restored by a total stranger? thank you so much Mark. |

Mark - I am new here too but I am using a 3rd party site builder and have no problems at all with the upload. Good luck to you and your site.
