I want to create an information website that has user reviews. Can HostGator help me to create a place for reviews on my website? Can I make a form that users could fill out that would be submitted into reviews? Or is there some other way I could do this with HostGator? Thanks!

HG sells hosting services not programming. You can use your webspace for whatever you wish providing it doesn't go against the TOS. If you are not able to code / program a suitable website yourself, I'm sure there are many web developers you could hire to help you.

A lot of CMSes (content management systems) have review capability, either built-in or in the form of addons/modules.

Why reinvent the wheel when there are so many good free packages?

Thanks for your replies. I am completely new to building a website or anything related. SO I guess what it sounds like is a need a program for what I want to do? or a CMS...?

Im sorry, I am completely new to this process. Can you explain this a little more? Does HostGator have a cms?

Some of them are available for free on HostGator Fantastico application.

There is a big list of CMS software in the fantastico section of your control panel. Some of them easy to use some of them a little more complicated. Which you choose is up to you.

I remember PHPWebSite being fairly straight forward. JOOMLA is pretty easy too.

For more complicated software id use either PHPNuke or PostNuke. Usually PHPnuke more than the other.
